This stunning antique Silver Scottish Quartz brooch is Victorian Circa 1870.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid 1800s.
The wonderful brooch is adorned with a rainbow of colourful Quartz stones with inlaid Agates set in-between.
The legendary Quartz can be found in a variety of different colours and have been valued throughout history by spiritual leaders who believed these stones were divine.
Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.
The brooch is set in a beautifully engraved Silver gallery which is fitted with a sturdy pin and a safety chain too.
This is a lovely, collectable Scottish piece that looks beautiful when worn!
